Hello and welcome to the Cambridge University Wilderness Medicine Society website. We are a group of medical students with an interest in the challenges of providing medical care in challenging environments, such as on expedition or in remote areas. This field of medicine is known as Expedition and Wilderness medicine.

We run trips away to the National Parks of England and Wales to learn about how to practice medicine in wilderness areas, and also to have fun spending time somewhere a little wilder than Cambridge! We are particularly keen for both pre-clinical and clinical students to come on these trips - no experience is required, we will give teaching during the weekend so everyone can join in. During these trips we run medical scenarios, which are not only great fun but also an excellent way to put theory into practice and gain valuable experience.

We also run talks from people with expertise in the field, held at Clinical School, which all are welcome to attend.

If you are keen to get involved, the best thing to do is to like our Facebook page or to email cambridge.wms@gmail.com and we will add you to the mailing list, as well as answer any questions you may have.

See you on a trip soon!
